Ryan Knight injured

Ryan Knight has suffered a knee injury which will put him out of action for an undetermined period of time as surgery will be required, TheHWE.com has learned.

The Monarch of the Mat last competed in the Finals of the HWE Championship Tournament on Dec. 30, where Alfonso Silva defeated him with the sharpshooter to become the first-ever HWE Champion.

After the match, Silva refused to release the hold for several moments, which is where Knight suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee. Knight was helped to the back by referees and would seek a medical examination the next morning, where the diagnosis was made. No timetable has currently been confirmed for Knight's return.

TheHWE.com will have more on the story as it develops, and we wish Knight all the best.
