Las Vegas, N.V. - With the eyes of the world on professional wrestling, earlier today in the lobby of a Las Vegas hotel, HWE Founder and CEO Guy Fernandez held a press conference in which he marked the official launch of the company and a major announcement was made.
Speaking to the gathered press corps, Fernandez described HWE as “the culmination of a dream”, saying he intended to do everything in his power to make it a success. The CEO spoke of the difficulties he and his team had overcome to get to launch day, but was proud and delighted that their hard work had paid off.
Fernandez handed over to his long-time friend, business partner and HWE's Commissioner Oswald Chapman. Chapman, who will oversee the day-to-day operations of HWE, said. “You all came here for headlines and, boy, do we have a headline for you. It's my privilege to announce that on April 15, Headline Wrestling Entertainment will kick things off with its first ever event: WrestleTopia!”
When the applause died down, Chapman disclosed that the company had negotiated the lease of an 8,000 capacity building in Vegas - to be known as the HWE Arena - which would play host to WrestleTopia, and become HWE's homestead going forward.
As for the WrestleTopia card, Chapman said that the card would be revealed in the next few days.
